Sick day

Still lacking a healthy, rosy glow in my cheeks. Just informed my boss that I’m taking a sick day so I can lie on the couch and slowly die watch hours of Netflix.

Had a COVID test yesterday. I knew it was unlikely to be positive, but best to have unequivocal proof, just in case. I did weigh up the whole wasting-government-money against the surety of medical evidence, and landed squarely in favour of the latter. Looking after other people’s children as a sporting coach kinda sealed it. Wouldn’t want any parents to behave like the Mafia if I place their child at risk, would I? The good news is the results came back this morning and COVID was not detected.

But that stick up the nose, though! Yikes!

  1. Thanks, Linda for doing the right thing and getting tested. Even though the likelihood of SARS-COV-2 infection for you given the low prevalence in Australia, from a public health perspective, it’s the right thing to do.

  2. Glad you did the right thing as I could imagine what other parents would carry on about, being in Melbourne. Rest up and compose stories for our delight. Hope you feel much better soon and try not to wear out your servants bell 😂
