Ah, what a busy day!
Our Girl’s birthday. She’s 11. Been counting down for the last 60 days, I think. So, it’s finally arrived, and she’s glowing.
I’ve just bought a cheesecake, because I don’t really have time to make one. Truth be told, I’m actually not a great baker, can’t do all the fiddly shit one needs to to pretty up a cake, so it’s better this way. I forked out a frightening amount of cash for it, though, which gave me a rude awakening to how easy it is to eat into a bank account one solitary day.
But, she’ll love it. Photos of her blowing out candles will show immutable proof of this. I can’t wait for her to see it. But first, we’ve got netball training after school, then home for a quick shower and change, pick up her BFF and head to the restaurant for dinner.
Hope you’re all having a lovely day.

Thanks Iain, we did. She’s out like a light now, competely tuckered out after a big day, which included a surprise party during recess, organised by a group of friends. ā¤š
