Relax

Off work. On annual leave. It’s a lovely feeling. I actually began my holidays on Wednesday afternoon. Signed off with an email, and shut work out of my brain.

Here’s an overview of my plans: as little as possible. Books to read, movies to watch, slippers to wear.

Early next week, though, I’m headed to a suburban hotel for a writing retreat. I’m looking forward to delving back into my manuscript, as I’ve left it untouched for a matter of months. It will be nice to get up and write—possibly in my pyjamas—with my only concerns being where and what to eat. Room service, anyone?
