Season of hope

Autumn is my favourite season, but of course, here in Australia, it’s spring.

Spring is lovely too. Today, for example, there’s a clear blue sky, cloud cover that occasionally hides the sun’s rays. There’s a lovely cool breeze that makes the leaves in the trees dance and sway.

I’ve always found that spring brings us a feeling of new hope, which—given the past few weeks in Melbourne and, more closely, in my own home—we all sorely need.

Stay sane, take deep breaths that fill your lungs with clean air, and let’s hope for better days.

  1. “…take deep breaths that fill your lungs with clean air….” Unfortunately, with all of the wildfires around where I live, taking a deep breath is more likely to make one cough or choke. But I’m still hoping for better days with good air quality!
