Long-term readers will know that I used to post here every day, or close enough to daily posts. But securing my wonderful job nearly a year ago has taken the opportunity from me. I like my job, and I miss being on here, too.
My weekends are so busy. I’m not sequestered indoors; quite the opposite. I spend my weekends ferrying my kids from sporting activities, to friends’ homes, as well as other mum related stuff. It’s great though. I’m not complaining.
About a week ago, though, I was driving T1 to a soccer match. It was a balmy Thursday evening (match had been postponed from its regular Sunday timeslot to a weeknight) and we pulled to a stop at a red light. Once the lights went green, my car just didn’t move forward. A long line of headlights behind me, car horns tooting in frustration and I was stuck. You can bet I was complaining right then! In short, the transmission died, and we have sent our car on to where all good vehicles go once they die. Sure, mechanics could’ve replaced the transmission, but at $9k, for a 20 year old car, it just didn’t seem worth it. We are currently running with one (unreliable) car. My nerves and anxiety are sky-high, every time I get behind the wheel.
In other news, we are moving house later this month. Our wonderful little home is far too small for our growing children. One bathroom for all of us, and the boys sharing a room, in bunk beds, is not working very well. So, we soon pick up the keys to a bigger home, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas, a yard, a laundry (this is a big excitement for me, as I’ve been dealing with a ‘euro’ laundry in the kitchen for 15 years), and plenty of cupboards and storage space. And a two-car garage too. We have already bought a new (to us) car, and will take delivery of it this week sometime.
So, with packing up a home, on top of my normal busyness, this post serves as a message that blogs by me will likely be more scarce for a while. But I will endeavour to build a bridge back to you all, sometime in mid-June. I just hope you’ll have me again π
And happy Mother’s day!

Oh yes, what a joyous post….except for the car thingy.
I hope you will be so happy in a new home. I hope you can get the kids onto housework rosters as there will be lots of cleaning and tidying to be done.
I am so happy for you Linda….except the packing and moving thingy.
You having a garage sale or sending stuff to the op-shops?
I have missed you ever so much. I know I should write more often. π€π

How exciting Linda. A new home and life so abundant you will be focussing on home and family. You will be missed, but we know you will be happy. I look forward to the occasional missives here and there.
Take care.

Thanks Gary, I hope to post every so often, but the packing of our home (oh my, the packing π¬π¬) will take so much time. It is very exciting though and we’re all looking forward to more space x

Best of luck with your new (to you) car and with the move into your new, luxurious mansion (or thatβs what it sounds like to me.π) . Weβll see you when we see you!
