About

I am Linda. Just an ordinary middle-aged chick, living in Melbourne. I have a great life, filled with three children and a wonderful husband. Sure, life could be better with an endless supply of money, and I’m chubbier than I should be, but all in all, I’m rather happy.

In 2016, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Professional and Creative Writing at Deakin University. And in 2017, I completed Honours in Creative Writing. What this all means is I like to write. It centres me, helps me to sort myself out. Writing also takes me away, allows me to let my imagination run wild. I hope to have fiction published one day, preferably not posthumously, so that my imagination can take others away too. Writers write to take the readers elsewhere.

I’m an extrovert, so I get my energy from being around others. When I’m not writing, which is, oddly for me, usually the past-time of introverts the world over, I am usually chatting. I love a chat. I’d talk to a tree if I thought it would answer. I speak to strangers in the supermarket, while choosing grapes, or waiting in the queue at the checkout. I am often chatting in the schoolyard with mums about the trials and tribulations raising children, day after interminable day. I love being a mum, I always wanted to have children, but I find myself actually mothering quite differently to how I imagined I would. More shouty, less patient.

Have a read, comment if you would like and, importantly, enjoy.

Linda x
